Creating beautiful images with you: portrait photographer

I am happy to fit in with your schedule. And can arrange shoots morning, afternoon and evening (night time too), 7 days a week. Subject to availability of course. 

Usually I will come to your chosen location, indoors or outdoors. throughout Scotland. Please see the note about travel charges to your location below.

Note that some locations have photography restrictions. If you think this may apply to where you would like to have your portrait shoot please check first. If you select a location with restrictions when booking I’ll get in touch to rearrange.

I can also arrange a studio shoot or specific location if preferred. But note that these options are subject to availability and additional charges and can’t be self booked through my booking page. Please get in touch for more info.

I do not usually charge extra for shoots within Central Scotland. But if you are considering a shoot outside of the ‘central belt’ please get in touch to check if there would be any ‘mileage’ charge.

Dark clothing tends to slenderize, light clothing can look beautifully fresh. Whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident and happy.

That said, it’s probably best to avoid:

• Items that are all the same colour/too matchy-matchy.
• Loud, clashing colours & patterns. This can be overwhelming and will take away from the photos.
• Avoid overly logo-studded items too. Fashion can be so fickle!
• Choose items that are flattering and fit well – not too baggy (unless that’s your thing of course).

I only bring some props for children’s portrait party shoots. However, if you would like to include any of your own props, costumes and stuff in the shoot that would be fine by me. Let me know before your shoot and maybe I can suggest options to achieve the look you want.

OK. If you book an outdoor shoot which cannot go ahead because of poor weather you will have the option to switch to an indoor location (if you have one available); or reschedule to another available day / time. When neither option is possible you can request a refund of any deposit / shoot fee you have paid.

After your photo shoot I will edit the photos and create your very own password protected and ssl secure online photo gallery which you can access via my website. I will email a link and the password as soon as your gallery is online. So that way you will be able to view your photos whenever you wish. And you’re more than welcome to share the password with family and friends too. 

The best bit is that there’s no need for a ‘viewing appointment’. You’ll be able to download your favourites directly from your online gallery at screen resolution. Ideal for viewing on smartphone or tablet or sharing on social media. Plus, you can conveniently order beautiful prints, albums and contemporary wall art along with printable high resolution image files through your own private online gallery for direct delivery. That way you only pay for the items that you really want and there’s no sales pressure. 

My portrait shoots start at £195. This includes a 1 hour shoot, photo editing and your own private, password protected online gallery with unlimited downloads at screen resolution and the option to buy your favourites as prints or high res digitals.
