Now for the when, where, what and how stuff?
I hope this is of interest. You may have questions. I’ve tried to answer some here. But please don’t hesitate to get in touch for anything else. (See ‘Get in touch’ below)
I am happy to fit in with your schedule. And can arrange shoots morning, afternoon and evening (night time too), 7 days a week. Subject to availability of course.
Usually I will come to your location, indoors or outdoors. But I can also arrange a studio shoot for headshots, product photography etc if preferred (subject to availability). I chiefly work throughout Scotland, covering the whole country. Although I am happy to travel throughout the UK and beyond if required.
I do not usually charge extra for shoots within Central Scotland. But if you are considering a shoot outside of the ‘central belt’ please get in touch to check if there would be any ‘mileage’ charge.
Dark clothing tends to slenderize, light clothing can look beautifully fresh. Whatever makes you feel confortable, confident and happy.
That said, it’s probably best to avoid:
- Items that are all the same colour/too matchy-matchy.
- Loud, clashing colours & patterns. This can be overwhelming and will take away from the photos.
- Avoid overly logo-studded items too. Fashion can be so fickle!
- Choose items that are flattering and fit well – not too baggy (unless that’s your thing of course).
I only bring some props for children’s portrait party shoots. However, if you would like to include any of your own props, costumes and stuff in the shoot that would be fine by me. Let me know before your shoot and maybe I can suggest options to achieve the look you want.
OK. If you book an outdoor shoot which cannot go ahead because of poor weather you will have the option to switch to an indoor location (if you have one available); or reschedule to another available day / time. When neither option is possible you can request a refund of any deposit / shoot fee you have paid.
After your photo shoot I will edit the photos and create your very own password protected and ssl secure online photo gallery which you can access via my website. I will email a link and the password as soon as your gallery is online. So that way you will be able to view your photos whenever you wish. And you’re more than welcome to share the password with family and friends too.
The best bit is that there’s no need for a ‘viewing appointment’. You’ll be able to download your favourites directly from your online gallery at screen resolution. Ideal for viewing on smartphone or tablet or sharing on social media. Plus, you can conveniently order beautiful prints, albums and contemporary wall art along with printable high resolution image files through your own private online gallery for direct delivery. That way you only pay for the items that you really want and there’s no sales pressure.
